Stadium: Bramall Lane

TV: BT Sport

Aston Villa are one of several Premier League teams who have almost looked more comfortable on the road this season and they get the nod to prevail at Sheffield United.

The Blades have badly missed having the backing of their supporters at Bramall Lane, suffering 10 home defeats, three more than any other side.

We’re content with taking 11/10 for an away win as our first Sheff Utd vs Aston Villa prediction.

A Look At Sheffield United’s Betting Odds

United showed signs of improvement at the start of the new year but have since slipped to three straight defeats and look doomed to going down.

After being beaten 3-0 at West Ham and 1-0 at Fulham, the Blades lost 2-0 to Liverpool at this venue on Sunday.

Curtis Jones put the Reds in front just after the interval and there was no coming back after Kean Bryan’s own goal on 65 minutes.

With his team 15 points from safety with 12 games to play, Chris Wilder seemed resigned to being relegated.

He said: “Take a step back to move forward, know where you want to be. Stick together, work hard and go again.

“I think that’s being realistic in the position we are. I can’t dress it up any other way…the points, the games we have got left and the form that we’re in.

“I’m sure nobody will be critical of me saying this is an incredibly tough situation to be in and one we don’t look as if we’re going to get out of.”

The Blades won’t be found wanting for effort but 11/5 for an away win to nil still appeals from the Sheff Utd vs Aston Villa odds.

Last Sheff Utd line-up: Ramsdale, Baldock, Stevens, Jagielka, Ampadu, Bryan, Fleck, Lundstram, Norwood, McBurnie, McGoldrick.

A Look At Aston Villa’s Betting Odds

Villa are only six points behind fourth-placed West Ham and have two games in hand following Saturday’s 1-0 triumph at Leeds.

Anwar El Ghazi’s early goal proved decisive as Dean Smith’s side proved they can be effective without England midfielder Jack Grealish.

“It’s nice to win a game without Jack in the team because there was a lot made out of us not winning a Premier League game without Jack,” Smith said

“But they were against Liverpool, who went top of the league, Leicester who went second and Wolves who went seventh.”

The manager added: “It’s been an all-round team performance this season and we’ve probably talked about Jack less than we did last season.”

Having said all that, it is a boost that Grealish could be back in contention here following an unspecified lower leg injury.

Villa have claimed seven of this season’s league victories on the road, including 3-0 wins over bottom-three clubs Fulham and West Brom.

Six of El Ghazi’s seven goals have also come in away matches, so 4/1 for him to net again and the visitors to prevail is added to our Sheff Utd vs Aston Villa betting tips.

Last Villa line-up: Martinez, Konsa, Mings, Targett, Elmohamady, McGinn, Nakamba, El Ghazi, Ramsey, Watkins, Traore.
