Kick-off: 2015, 12/01/2021

Stadium: Turf Moor

TV: Sky Sports

Manchester United can go three points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a win at Burnley and are tipped to seize that opportunity.

The Red Devils have won on their last four trips to Turf Moor, keeping clean sheets in all of those matches and netting seven times themselves.

We’re happy to take 6/5 for an away win and under 3.5 goals in the game for our first Burnley vs Man Utd prediction.

A Look At Burnley’s Betting Odds

Burnley survived an FA Cup scare when edging out MK Dons 4-3 on penalties after only snatching a 1-1 draw in regulation play with a stoppage-time Matej Vydra equaliser.

The Clarets have done well in the league recently, only losing away to Manchester City and Leeds in their last nine matches.

Four wins and three draws in that period have pushed Burnley five points clear of the drop zone after earlier being in the bottom three.

However, Sean Dyche’s side have only scored five goals in 12 top-flight fixtures, while strike duo Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes have managed just four between them so far this campaign.

Both looked short of form and confidence versus MK Dons on Saturday, missing a number of very good chances.

Jay Rodriguez, who sat out the match through injury, has yet to find the net this season and Dyche is aware of those short-comings.

He said: “Their keeper made two or three fine saves, so I don’t mind that if they’re getting in good areas.

“But, on the quality of chances, I’ve got to look at the centre-forwards and put a bit of pressure on.”

Looking at the Burnley vs Man Utd odds, we like 13/2 for the Red Devils to win 2-0 at Turf Moor for the fourth time in five visits.

Last Burnley line-up: Norris, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters, Bardsley, Cork, Gudmundsson, Brady, Stephens, Wood, Barnes.

A Look At Manchester United’s Betting Odds

United bounced back from a 2-0 loss to neighbours City in the EFL Cup semi-finals to shade Watford 1-0 in the FA Cup, thanks to Scott McTominay’s early header.

The Red Devils were made to work harder than expected by the Hornets, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did make wholesale changes for that contest.

In the league, United are unbeaten in 10 outings, winning eight of those games to draw level at the summit with Liverpool, who they visit on Sunday.

“We want to be top of the league and this is the time to do it,” said home-grown defender Alex Tuanzebe.

“These are two games that can really cement our position at the top and we just bounce on from there.”

Paul Pogba, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw are injury doubts for the midweek trip but United should have enough strength in depth to cope.

No team has scored more late away goals than the Red Devils this term, with eight bagged in the closing quarter of an hour of matches.

The Clarets’ record in the same period is 0-4, so 7/4 for the visitors to outscore their hosts from 75:01 minutes onwards is our final Burnley vs Man Utd prediction.

Last Man Utd line-up: Henderson, Bailly, Telles, Williams, Tuanzebe, Mata, Lingard, James, Van de Beek, McTominay, Greenwood.
