Kick-off: 1200, 11/04/2021

Stadium: Turf Moor

TV: Sky Sports

Burnley and Newcastle are just above the Premier League relegation zone and both may settle for edging closer to safety by sharing the spoils.

These teams are certainly used to drawing matches of late, with the Clarets having five straight top-flight stalemates at Turf Moor and the Magpies four from five overall.

Punters can get 11/5 for the scores to finish level here and that is our first Burnley vs Newcastle prediction.

A Look At Burnley’s Betting Odds

Burnley looked on course to boost their survival hopes with a win at Southampton after a Chris Wood penalty and Matej Vydra’s strike put them 2-0 ahead.

However, Stuart Armstrong, Danny Ings and Nathan Redmond hit back for Saints and the Clarets had a couple of late penalty appeals turned down.

Sean Dyche declared: “I am frustrated. It’s one of them that got away from us through our own lack of awareness.

“We scored two goals, concede a soft one and then the second one we have given away and they’ve come back into it from nowhere.

“We looked a threat, we opened them up and then defensively we stopped doing the basics, we went on the back foot a little bit.”

Burnley had previously picked up a fine 2-1 win at Everton, though, following on from home draws with Leicester and Arsenal, so their overall form is solid.

Four of the last five league games here have ended 1-1 and 11/2 for that scoreline to come up again appeals from the Burnley vs Newcastle odds.

Last Burnley line-up: Pope, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters, Gudmundsson, Brownhill, McNeil, Westwood, Wood, Vydra.

A Look At Newcastle United’s Betting Odds

Newcastle showed plenty of spirit when snatching a late 2-2 draw against Tottenham at St James’ Park.

Harry Kane’s double put Spurs ahead after Joelinton had opened the scoring but Joe Willock struck on 85 minutes to earn the Magpies a valuable point.

Head coach Steve Bruce is convinced there is a unity within the dressing room which can get them out of trouble, despite media reports of a rift in the camp.

He said: “That is the big thing that frustrates us all, a so-called mole in the dressing room, certain players unhappy, blah, blah, blah, the spirit is not good, this nonsense!

“A lot of players have been here a long time and it matters to them. A lot of them were playing today who have been here four and five years.

“There’s a certain spirit amongst them which they need to have because they’ve got to be at full tilt to get something out of the Premier League week in and week out.

“I’ve got no problems with the spirit amongst them. They’re a really good group who want the club to succeed.”

If the Magpies can maintain that positive momentum, we agree they do have enough quality to avoid the drop.

Let’s finish off our Burnley vs Newcastle betting tips by taking 13/4 for the scores to be level at half-time and full-time.

Last Newcastle line-up: Dubravka, Dummett, Lascelles, Krafth, Shelvey, Ritchie, Murphy, Almiron, Longstaff, Joelinton, Gayle.
