In another exciting round of Bundesliga fixtures, Sidney Sam and Marco Reus could be goalscorers to watch while half time correct scores for Hannover and Hertha offer money spinning opportunities for savvy punters. Meanwhile, Sunday brings solid score predictions for Stuttgart and Hamburg. The main event remains in Munich as ever though, as Borussia Dortmund’s visit offers a wealth of potential for punters with designs on a result for either FC Hollywood or even Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Friday, 18th November

Kaiserslautern v Bayer Leverkusen (7.30pm)

Home win: 37/20                    Draw: 12/5                 Away win: 27/20

Betting tip: Bayer Leverkusen’s Sidney Sam has always enjoyed playing at Kaiserslautern’s Fritz-Walter-Stadion. During a two-year loan spell he scored 14 goals in 59 appearances from midfield. A year on, Sam’s record at the home side’s ground remains just as impressive, with the 23-year-old having scored the opener for Leverkusen in their last appearance at the Fritz-Walter. Sam has scored three goals in his last two games for Leverkusen against Kaiserslautern and is available at odds of 9/1 to open the scoring this Friday night.

Saturday, 19th November

Schalke 04 v Nuremburg (2.30pm)

Home win: 7/10                      Draw: 11/4                 Away win: 15/4

Betting tip: Schalke fans have been treated to a glut of goals in the Bundesliga of late, with a 3-1 win over Hoffenheim followed up with a 2-2 draw with Hannover 96.  Backing exactly four goals to be scored in the game at 17/4 therefore looks a good tip. Given that Schalke’s last three home league games have featured 4.33 goals on average, new users may also want to consider using bwin’s free £25 bet for registering to claim a tidy £131.25.

SC Freiburg v Hertha Berlin (2.30pm)

Home win: 31/20                    Draw: 5/2                   Away win: 31/20

Betting tip: SC Freiburg are having a torrid time in the Bundesliga at present, lying second from bottom with just ten points from twelve games. Last time out in the league, a stoppage time penalty from Papiss Demba Cisse gifted Marcus Sorg’s side an unlikely away win against Nuremburg but the signs remain bleak for the home side. SC Freiburg have lost three of their last four games at home in the Bundesliga, each time going in 1-0 down at half time. You can get odds of 18/5 on Hertha Berlin repeating the trick with a 1-0 half time lead over SC Freiburg.

Borussia Monchengladbach v Werder Bremen (2.30pm)

Home win: 7/5                        Draw: 12/5                 Away win: 7/4

Betting tip: A few weeks ago, Borussia Monchengladbach were developing a habit for 1-0 wins at home in the Bundesliga. But that all changed with the emergence of Marco Reus. His last two games for the home side have brought back-to-back doubles with the visit of Werder Bremen offering Reus the chance at making it a hat-trick of braces. Bwin are evidently keeping a close eye with odds of 15/2 and so they should – Reus has scored five in his last six home games, while Bremen have conceded an average of nearly two goals a game on the road.

Cologne v Mainz (2.30pm)

Home win: 29/20                    Draw: 12/5                 Away win: 17/10

Betting tip: Cologne should have taken something from their 3-2 away defeat at Werder Bremen in the last round after being 2-0 up, but the game did at least provide evidence of the team’s capabilities. Mainz have gone four games without a win away from home while Cologne have averaged two goals a game over their last four home fixtures. Given that Lukas Podolski’s team also scored two away at Bremen, back bwin’s odds of 13/5 on the home side scoring exactly two goals. This at least covers against any potential collapses. It also means that new customers can take advantage of bwin’s free £25 bet for registering to pocket £90.

VfL Wolfsburg v Hannover 96 (2.30pm)

Home win: 13/10                    Draw: 5/2                   Away win: 19/10

Betting tip: Wolfsburg have made a sluggish start to games in the league of late, with the majority of the goals they concede coming in the first half. In four of Wolfsburg’s last five defeats in the Bundesliga, the Wolves have gone in 2-0 down at half-time. With odds of 27/4 on Hannover 96 scoring two goals in the first half against Wolfsburg, it is certainly worth a punt.

Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund (5.30pm)

Home win: 31/50                    Draw: 3/1                   Away win: 4/1

Betting tip: Borussia Dortmund’s visit to the Allianz Arena to take on Bayern Munich is a tough one to call, with options available for a number of bets. Fans of FC Hollywood may want to back Mario Gomez to score the opener at 7/2 given the German international has scored the opener in three of Bayern’s last four home league games. Alternatively, Dortmund fans may want to back their own Mario Gotze – who grabbed two goals in their last game – to score at any time in the game at odds of 11/4.  Others may want to hedge their bets and take a page out of the history books though. Four of the last five games between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have seen one of the teams win by a clear two goal margin and you can get odds of 11/4 on this outcome for this weekend.

Sunday, 20th November

VfB Stuttgart v Augsburg (2.30pm)

Home win: 2/5                        Draw: 18/5                 Away win: 25/4

Betting tip: VfB Stuttgart’s good start to the season may have derailed in recent weeks, but fans will undoubtedly be confident and expectant going into this match with the team having averaged nearly three goals a game in each of their home wins this season.  Among those teams defeated 3-0 are well placed rivals Schalke 04 and Hannover 96. Given that Augsburg have conceded eight goals in their last three away defeats, a bet on Stuttgart to win 3-0 at 8/1 is worth a small wager.

Hamburg v TSG Hoffenheim (5.30pm)

Home win: 13/10                    Draw: 5/2                   Away win: 37/20

Betting tip: The arrival of Thorsten Fink at Hamburg looks to have galvanised the club and they have a strong home record against Hoffenheim. In four Bundesliga meetings between the two at the Imtech Arena, the Rothosen have won three and drawn one. Meanwhile, Hoffenheim come into the game having lost three straight games on the road. But with Hamburg struggling for goals, with an average of 1.3 strikes per home game, odds of 9/2 on the home side winning with under 2.5 combined goals scored is definitely one to watch.
