Huddersfield v QPR – Over 2.5 goals @ Evens

QPR manager Harry Redknapp seems to be approaching his side’s promotion push this season in the same manner as he did at Portsmouth back in 2002 – attack teams, and attack them regularly.

He oversaw Pompey’s march to the title over ten-years ago playing an aggressive style that saw them score 97 goals over the course of the season. This new-look Rangers side are being moulded in the same fashion.

They’ll score and concede plenty this season, including in this clash. Huddersfield have goals in them through James Vaughan, who scored twice in mid-week.

He’ll get chances in this game as Redknapp is likely to employ attacking tactics which will leave his defence exposed on his side’s first league away trip of the season.

Ipswich to beat Millwall @ 11/10

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy was left dumbfounded last weekend about how his side failed to pick up any points at Reading. He had a point too, as on the balance of play Town deserved better than the 2-1 defeat they had to swallow.

It’s probably best to write off the midweek Capital One exit at the hands of Stevenage. McCarthy dropped key players Scott Loach, Elliott Hewitt, Luke Chambers, and strikers Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick. He was hardly raging at being knocked out of the competition.

They will be primed for a big performance at Portman Road against a Millwall side that suffered a shock reverse at home to new-boys Yeovil Town last weekend.

The Lions’ new gaffer Steve Lomas has made some pretty uninspiring singings in the window – Shaun Derry the latest, who was dragged in from QPR – and they could be in trouble this season. This looks a home banker for the Tractor Boys.

Watford to beat Bournemouth @ 11/17

Our faith in Watford was rewarded last week as they saw off Birmingham at a juicy price of 29/20 and we see no reason to desert them this weekend either.

Gianfranco Zola’s men looked to have the same attacking spark as last season and it’s hard to see Bournemouth’s defence stopping an attack that includes Troy Deeney and Lewis McGugan.
